About Co Kids Childcare

At Co Kids, our vision is to deliver quality early childhood education in an innovative and creative environment that fosters children’s learning and development. We are dedicated to supporting each child through engaging experiences in a safe, stimulating space, helping them grow into active, confident individuals.

Our philosophy is built on respectful relationships and natural development through freedom of movement. Inspired by the principles of Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE) and the work of Emmi Pikler, we believe in allowing children to develop at their own pace, without unnecessary interference. You won’t find highchairs, play saucers, or restrictive equipment at Co Kids we support children in moving and exploring freely. Caregiving routines are approached with intention, ensuring that children are aware, involved, and respected in every interaction. With older children, we foster autonomy by offering choice and valuing their comfort. Participation in group activities is voluntary, with a focus on small, meaningful interactions that encourage conversation, turn-taking, and mutual respect. By prioritising trust and security, we create an environment where children feel confident, valued, and empowered in their learning journey.

We believe that collaboration between families and the Co Kids childcare team is essential to creating these enriching opportunities. Together, we lay the groundwork for a strong and thriving community of tomorrow.

Growing Minds, Nurturing Futures: A Home for Learning and Play

At the heart of our centre is a welcoming kitchen where our onsite cook prepares fresh, healthy, and nutritious meals daily. Our babies and toddlers enjoy a beautiful outdoor space on the east end of the centre, providing a playful setting for exploration. Our dedicated team of passionate teachers is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and emotionally supportive atmosphere for our young learners. In the preschool area, we prepare children for school through play-based activities, focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and writing skills. Engaging games, activities, and songs promote foundational knowledge of alphabet recognition and phonics, enhancing language skills and building a solid foundation for reading and writing.
