FamilyBoost – Making Quality Childcare More Affordable
Eligible families may receive up to 40 percent back on their childcare fees through the Government’s FamilyBoost payment, with rebates of up to $120 per week. It is a simple way to reduce the cost of childcare while giving your child the best start in early education.

OUR CHRISTCHURCH CENTRE
At Co Kids, we have incorporated elements of the Emmi Pikler and RIE theories into developing a teaching philosophy based on respectful education and care practices.
Our vegetable garden provides a unique opportunity for children to contribute to our nutritious, sugar-free menu, fostering a sense of community and responsibility as they grow and gather seasonal vegetables to help our onsite chef.
Our dedicated Babies Room, as well as outdoor area, provides a nurturing and secure environment, specifically designed for our youngest learners. Located in a separate area, these spaces offer a gentle and gradual transition to our preschool program. By having a separate space, we can tailor our care and activities to meet the unique needs of our babies, from crawling and walking to exploring and discovering. This separate room also ensures their safety as they learn to navigate their surroundings and develop their motor skills.

For our youngest children we follow the RIE philosophy, which focuses on respectful, responsive care and supporting natural development. For children over three we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, encouraging creativity, problem solving and learning through exploration and play.
Teacher to Child Ratios
We aim to maintain excellent teacher to child ratios during our peak learning times so every child receives the care and attention they need.
Under 1 -1 teacher to 3 children

Over 3 - 1 teacher to 8 children
Meals and Daily Essentials
Nappies and wet wipes are provided for your convenience. Children enjoy a fresh daily menu for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Our meals are naturally sweet and made without refined sugar, focusing on wholesome ingredients that support healthy growing bodies.
Our Team
Our team is made up of passionate and experienced educators who genuinely care about each child’s development. Around 80 percent of our teachers are fully qualified, and many of our team members have been part of the Co Kids community for more than five years.
Financial Support
We are happy to help families understand the financial support options available.
We can guide you through the FamilyBoost rebate, which may help reduce your childcare costs.
We also assist with the WINZ subsidy application process by completing our section of the form.
Flexible Fee Options
We understand that every family’s schedule is different, so we offer flexible options including full day, 8 hour and 6 1/2 hour.
Transition to School
For children over four we run a daily 30 minute Transition to School programme designed to build confidence and help prepare children for the move to primary school.
Sibling Discount
We offer a 10 percent sibling discount. Please speak with our Centre Manager to learn more about current promotions and availability.
